About UsE.M. Pemrick and Company was established in 2006 by Ellen Morosoff Pemrick, a professional planner with 20 years of experience in economic development, community planning and policy analysis. Over the course of her career, she has developed a diverse project portfolio, producing economic development strategies, commercial market analyses, downtown redevelopment plans, comprehensive plans, and tourism studies for municipal and county governments and economic development organizations.
Ms. Pemrick's skills include research and analysis, survey design and administration, and strategy development. She has developed a strong track record as a grant writer, securing in excess of $20 million in state and federal funds for various economic and community development programs and housing initiatives.
Prior to establishing E.M. Pemrick and Company, Ellen Pemrick held long-term positions with private consulting firms, serving as Director of Economic Development for six years and Principal Planner for seven years. She also served as an analyst with the Legislative Commission on Skills Development and Vocational Education, where she conducted research and developed recommendations for the New York State Legislature on labor force needs and education and training programs.
Ms. Pemrick has a Master of Regional Planning degree, with a Concentration in Economic and Community Development, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is an active member of the International Economic Development Council. From 2004 to 2005, she served on the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee in the Town of Colonie, NY, and she currently serves on the committee charged with overseeing the implementation of the plan.
