- The Augusta County (VA) Board of Supervisors has contracted with a consultant team comprised of Moran, Stahl & Boyer, E.M. Pemrick and Company, and Laberge Group to develop an Economic Development Strategic Plan. The plan will analyze various aspects of the Augusta County economy, assess its strengths and weaknesses against those of similar communities, and evaluate the resources available in the area to support economic development. It will also provide an action plan to guide the County's efforts in achieving its economic development objectives over the next ten years. Augusta County is located in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley region.
- E.M. Pemrick and Company and Moran, Stahl & Boyer are conducting market assessments for each region of Massachusetts under contract to the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (MAED). MAED has been provided funding to implement the marketing of Priority Development Sites under the state's 43D program; the market assessments are the first deliverable in the program.
- E.M. Pemrick and Company is part of a team of consultants working on a new comprehensive plan for the Village of Port Chester, New York. The plan is being developed by Laberge Group to guide the growth and development of this urban community in Westchester County; other subconsultants include Synthesis LLP and Mullin Associates Incorporated. E.M. Pemrick is producing an analysis of the local and regional economy and a retail market study, facilitating an economic development focus group, and conducting a survey of Port Chester businesses.
- James City County, Virginia's Business Climate Taskforce issued its final report in January 2008. The report, which is available in PDF here, incorporates the Business Climate Study produced by E.M. Pemrick and Company and Moran, Stahl & Boyer in April 2007 (see Projects). County leaders hope to begin implementing many of the report recommendations as part of the upcoming comprehensive plan update.
